ABOUT ME

Ever since I was a kid I was fascinated by three things: technology, nature, and the arts. I enjoyed time taking on endeavors that explored the cross of any or all of these ideas

In the late 2000's I discovered a world of music driven by computers and naturally I was all about it. Ever since, electronic music has been a big love of mine.

I even had my first DJ lesson as a youngster but didn't take it seriously until later on

At first, I was a dubstep fan for years, but then I fell out of it gravitated towards house styles like Big Room through the mid 2010's. My taste grew and explored through many of dance music eras since first diving into any electronic music.

It wasn't until I went to college in 2018 where I met a whole bunch of homies who were into bass music and made me fall back in love with dubstep again.

It was truly a blessing to be able to catch up on YEARS of unheard music and new styles.

After a year at the University of Delaware, I decided this was the perfect time to pick up decks and take DJing seriously and began TROWL, performing locally at school for greek life events and other gatherings around campus

I was gaining traction in my local college scene until covid hit in 2020, and everybody had to stay indoors, and nightlife took a pause.

However, I used this time to teach myself producing and start cooking on my own sound

I spent hours upon hours during lockdown learning both the decks inside out and figure out how to make music I could confidently play on stage and release as TROWL.

Once live shows returned to full steam in mid 2021, I was more ready than ever. I planned out my debut LP, I had a catalog of projects to play, and I got booked for my first gig outside of college at Karma Nightclub.

And really from there it was destiny! I would go on to pursue my life-long passion of technological art, performing all over the country, going on some tour runs, pushing acceptance and positivity everywhere I go.

My favorite run was the "2023 Cosmic Roots Tour", which highlighted a deliberate rebrand of my style. I moved TROWL completely away from heavy dubstep and towards strictly sound-system oriented bass music

(which is the style I still push to this day)

Some of favorite shows to date were on this tour including Elements Festival, Big Dub Festival, Richmond debut w/ Ahee, Tunnel Rave w/ Mampi Swift + plenty more

Hope you enjoyed the lore! Looking forward to new adventures with you soon <3
